In a significant development within the ongoing winter transfer window, it has been reported today that officials from Moroccan club Raja Casablanca have entered formal negotiations with Abdul Razzaq Hamdallah, the striker for the Saudi Arabian team Al-Ittihad.
Mohamed Boudrika, President of the Moroccan club, confirmed this development in an exclusive statement to the Saudi newspaper “Al Riyadh” on Tuesday, stating, “Yes, we are looking to sign Hamdallah, and negotiations are currently underway with his agent, who will communicate with the management of Al-Ittihad and the player to determine their decision regarding the completion of the deal and the preferred terms.”
He further explained, “We may not be able to purchase Hamdallah’s contract from Al-Ittihad due to financial constraints.
However, we will propose the idea of a loan or a swap deal, allowing the Saudi team’s management to choose a player from Raja Casablanca whom they wish to acquire.”
It is noteworthy that Al-Ittihad Jeddah extended the contract of the Moroccan striker Abdul Razzaq Hamdallah until 2025, as announced by the club on February 2nd of the previous year.
President Boudrika did not overlook the possibility of acquiring Hamdallah, even if it involves a financial settlement with his current Saudi club, expressing, “The desire to recruit a striker with high capabilities like Hamdallah is crucial, even if he obtains a release letter.
We hope that things progress smoothly.”
On a different note, Mohamed Boudrika hinted at the potential transfer of a Moroccan player from Raja Casablanca to the Saudi “Roshan” league during the current winter transfer window.
Negotiations reportedly commenced in October of last year, with Boudrika refraining from disclosing the player’s name or the destination club at this juncture.
