Melaka FC bring in experienced Liberian goalscorer Kpah Sherman
Kpah Sherman, the 34-year-old Liberia centre-forward, has joined Melaka FC from Kuala Lumpur on a free transfer.
Sherman has signed a contract with the Super League club running until 30 June 2027. The move was completed on 28 August 2026, with the striker switching clubs after one season at Kuala Lumpur.
The forward brings an established record in Malaysian football, having scored 64 goals in 125 Super League appearances. He has also found the net 12 times in 21 Piala Malaysia matches, while recording 21 Super League assists and one in the domestic cup competition.
Sherman’s most prolific campaign came in the 2018-19 season, when he finished as the Malaysia Super League’s top scorer with 14 goals. His career has included spells with several clubs in Malaysia, including Sri Pahang, Terengganu FC, Kedah FA, Selangor II, PJ City FC and PKNS FC.
He joined Kuala Lumpur from Sri Pahang on 1 July 2025, also as a free agent, and now remains in the Super League with Melaka FC. Before moving through Malaysia’s top-flight clubs, Sherman played for teams including MISC-MIFA, Cape Town City, Santos FC, Mamelodi Black Aces and Young Africans.
Born in Monrovia, Sherman is a right-footed striker standing 1.83m tall. His move to Melaka adds a forward with extensive experience of the competition and a record of consistent scoring in the league and cup.
Melaka FC have completed the signing of Kpah Sherman on a free transfer, with his contract confirmed through June 2027.
