CAF has confirmed the match officials and key details for the crucial CAF Champions League group-stage clash between Egypt’s Pyramids and Morocco’s RS Berkane in Group A.
The game will be played at 6:00 p.m. Cairo time on Sunday, 1 February, at the Air Defense Stadium, in what could prove decisive in the battle for top spot.
RS Berkane currently lead the group with 7 points, ahead of defending champions Pyramids on goal difference, after the two sides drew 0–0 in Morocco on matchday three at the municipal stadium in Berkane. CAF has entrusted the whistle to a Mauritanian refereeing team led by Abdulaziz Bouh, with Hamdine Debah and Khalido Ba as assistants and Moussa Diop as fourth official.
The match will also be closely monitored by Djibouti’s Yacoub Ali as match commissioner, Togolese official Koko Djoubri as referee assessor, and Mauritanian Mohammed Jaidou as general coordinator.
The fixture carries extra spice given the recent history between the clubs. Last year, they met in the CAF Super Cup final at the same venue, where Pyramids claimed a 1–0 victory to lift the trophy on home soil, adding further narrative to an already highly anticipated showdown.
