Yassin Sheikh Walid, the Mauritanian international and standout player for Union Monastir, has declared his retirement from international football following his omission from Mauritania’s final squad for the upcoming Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) 2023.
Amir al-Din Abdo, the coach of Mauritania, excluded the 25-year-old Yassin Walid from the squad, prompting the player to decide to retire from international duty.
