New reports have emerged of escalating tensions between Mauritanian football club, Nouadhibou, and Moroccan giants Wydad Casablanca, as the former threatens to escalate their dispute to FIFA.
The Mauritanian club is demanding 120 million centimes from Wydad, representing the transfer fee for Bouna Sidi Ammar during the past winter transfer window.
According to a reliable source, officials from Wydad had initially pledged to disburse the said amount to Nouadhibou at the beginning of May.
However, the expiration of the deadline prompted officials from Nouadhibou to issue threats of resorting to FIFA to claim their dues.
In March of the previous year, officials from Nouadhibou had reached out to Wydad Casablanca regarding the transfer fee for Bouna Ammar’s move to the Moroccan club.
Subsequently, they were compelled to travel to Casablanca to meet with officials from the red team in a bid to settle the matter.
