The Super Falcons, already qualified, dominated possession but couldn’t break down a disciplined Algerian defence.
Despite several chances from Uchenna Kanu and Asisat Oshoala, Nigeria were denied by Algeria’s goalkeeper Kahina Takenint.
Algeria, needing a point to advance, defended resolutely and secured the result they needed.
Nigeria top Group B with seven points, while Algeria finish second with five, both progressing to the quarter-finals.
