The North Africans hosted the Round 6 encounter against the Group G opponent keen on securing all three points.
Mohamed Amoura led from the front and put up a sensational performance that saw him bag a hat-trick for Algeria.
With other goals from Aissa Mandi and Jaouen Hadjam, there was little Mozambique could do to avoid the defeat.
The only consolation goal for Mozambique was scored by Geny Catamo in the 40th minute.
