Continuing the tradition of Ghanaian players at the Udinese club, 20-year-old defender Masahudu Alhassan has officially signed with the Italian team. He joins the ranks of other notable Ghanaians who have played for Udinese, including Asamoah Gyan, Kwadzo Asamoah, and Agyemang-Badu.
Masahudu expressed his awareness of the Ghanaian legacy at Udinese, saying, “I know a lot of Ghanaians have been here and impressed. So I have no pressure but I have to do as well as them or better.” Although not selected by coach Kwesi Appiah for the African Cup of Nations, Masahudu is eager to make his debut for Udinese and contribute to the team’s success. In 2012, he was part of the Ghanaian national team that finished in 4th place.
