French Ligue 1 giants Olympique Marseille have set sights on securing the services of Algeria international Ramy Bensebaini as the summer transfer window approaches.
Roberto De Zerbi, who is the manager of the French club is seeking to strengthen his squad following in consistence defense this season.
The former Brighton manager has frequently played players out of position in order to compose his three-man defence, with Ulisses García and Geoffrey Kondogbia frequently playing in this sector.
According to reports, Marseille have targeted Dortmund left-back in an attempt to fix their defensive crisis heading into the new campaign.
Whilst Marseille have yet to establish contact with Bensebaini regarding a move, the Bundesliga side aren’t opposed to selling the Algeria international, whose contract expires in 2027.
Meanwhile, Marseille also have an interest in Chelsea’s Wesley Fofana and former Manchester City centre-back Aymeric Laporte, who currently plies his trade in Saudi Arabia.
The 30-year-old Algeria star has made 41 appearances for Dortmund, scoring three goals and delivering six assists across competitions.
