Marseille are set to trigger Algeria star Ismaël Bennacer’s purchase clause following an impressive loan spell.
Bennacer joined the French Ligue 1 giants on loan during the January transfer window from AC Milan. Since joining the club, Bennacer has racked up seven appearances, delivering an assists across the period.
According to reports, Marseille are convinced with the performance of the midfielder and are expected to trigger the option to make the move permanent at the end of the campaign.
Marseille reportedly paid €1m to secure Bennacer on loan and could make the deal permanent for a reported €12m.
The French giants is expected to confirm the move to snap up Bennacer permanently after the club have qualified for the Champions League next campaign.
Bennacer has been an integral member of the Algeria national team, making 50 appearances and scoring 2 goals since his debut in September 2016.
