Saber Khalifa’s potential move to the Qatari club Al-Jaish seemed to be gaining traction, leading to speculation about his departure from Olympique de Marseille. However, recent developments indicate that Khalifa has decided to reject the offer from Qatar, which was reportedly worth 3.5 million euros. This decision, as reported by La Provence and L’Equipe, suggests that Khalifa will remain with Marseille for the time being.
Marseille’s sporting director, José Anigo, had earlier commented on the situation, expressing willingness to retain Khalifa if he couldn’t reach an agreement with the Qatari club. Anigo also hinted at the possibility of welcoming Jérémie Aliadière if Khalifa were to leave.
With Khalifa’s rejection of the Qatari offer, it appears that the potential transfer of Aliadière to Marseille may no longer be pursued.
