AC Milan Eye Mario Mandzukic as Potential Replacement for Mario Balotelli
AC Milan are reportedly preparing to make a high-profile switch in their attacking lineup, with Croatian striker Mario Mandzukic emerging as a potential replacement for Mario Balotelli. The Serie A club, currently in the process of signing Jérémy Ménez from Paris Saint-Germain, is said to be negotiating to bring Mandzukic in from Bayern Munich, where the Croatian forward is also set to depart.
For the deal to materialize, Milan must secure a satisfactory transfer fee for Balotelli, with reports suggesting €25 million would be sufficient to finalize the move.
Balotelli, currently with the Italian squad for the 2014 FIFA World Cup, recently shared a personal moment on social media. He posted pictures from a romantic location in Brazil where he proposed to his girlfriend, alongside a close-up of the engagement ring. “She said yes… The most important moment of my life. This is the place where I popped the question. I love you,” the striker wrote.
The couple’s relationship dates back to 2012, and despite a brief split in 2013, they remain together. Balotelli is also a father to a young daughter, whose mother he parted ways with before the child’s birth.
