Marcel Koller, the coach of Al Ahly, is gearing up for yet another showdown against Zamalek in the final of the 2022-2023 Egyptian Cup.

The First Park Stadium in Saudi Arabia will host the eagerly anticipated clash between Al Ahly and Zamalek tomorrow, Friday.

The Swiss coach has previously led Al Ahly in three encounters against their arch-rivals Zamalek, all of which ended in victories for the Red Devils.

Koller’s journey against Zamalek commenced with the Egyptian Super Cup in 2022, where the two teams clashed, resulting in a 2-0 victory for Al Ahly.

Subsequently, Koller faced Zamalek in the first round of the Egyptian Premier League last season (2022-2023), a match that ended in a 3-0 triumph for Al Ahly, courtesy of goals from Mohamed Sherif (2) and Mahmoud Kahraba.

The third encounter between Al Ahly and Zamalek took place in the second round of the local league, with Al Ahly securing a convincing 4-1 victory.

Goals from Hussein El Shahat (2), Ali Maaloul, and Mohamed Sherif sealed the win for the Red Devils.
