Swiss coach Marcel Koller, the head coach of Al Ahly, emerged victorious in the Globe Soccer poll for the world’s best coach.
Koller’s success in the poll surpassed that of Spanish tactician Pep Guardiola, the manager of Manchester City, and Italian maestro Carlo Ancelotti, the head coach of Real Madrid.
Koller secured nearly 27% of the total votes, placing him ahead of Guardiola in second place with 24%, while Ancelotti took the third spot with 23%.
Meanwhile, Arsenal’s Mikel Arteta and Barcelona’s Xavi earned 5.5% each in the poll.
Koller’s exceptional season with Al Ahly included clinching the Egyptian Premier League title, the Egypt Cup, and the CAF Champions League.
Additionally, he guided the team to a bronze medal in the FIFA Club World Cup.
Al Ahly also claimed the title of the best club in the world in the Globe Soccer awards, outshining Saudi Arabian teams, including Al Hilal, Al Nassr, and Al Ittihad.
Koller’s triumph is a testament to his strategic acumen and the outstanding achievements he led Al Ahly to during the season.
