Marouane Fellaini, the Belgian international of Moroccan descent, has faced challenges since joining Manchester United in the last summer transfer window, struggling to replicate the efficiency he displayed at Everton.
Addressing his role at Manchester United, Fellaini clarified, “I don’t replace anyone at Manchester United.” In an interview with BeIn Sport, he responded to questions about taking over from Paul Scholes in the midfield, stating, “I am Marouane Fellaini. I am neither Scholes nor Carrick; I am not replacing anyone. I’m trying to play my game. For the moment it’s difficult, but I’ll succeed.”
Despite the difficulties, Fellaini expressed determination to find his form at the club. He acknowledged the initial awe of being part of a club with such a rich history: “When I first arrived, I couldn’t believe it. This is the high level. Now I’m in it, I’m training every day. I’m starting to get used to it.”
