Manchester United are reportedly monitoring Red Bull Salzburg midfielder Moussa Yeo as they look to bolster their midfield options in the upcoming transfer window.
The 20-year-old Malian has attracted attention with his performances in the Austrian Bundesliga.
Yeo, born in Bamako, Mali, began his football journey with local club Guidars FC before transferring to Red Bull Salzburg in August 2022.
He initially joined Salzburg’s feeder team, FC Liefering, on loan, where he made 33 appearances and scored six goals over two seasons.
Since returning to Salzburg for the 2024–25 season, Yeo has featured prominently, making 30 appearances across all competitions, netting five goals and providing one assist.
Manchester United’s interest in Yeo comes amid uncertainties surrounding the futures of current midfielders Casemiro and Kobbie Mainoo.
The club is keen to reinforce its midfield depth, and Yeo’s versatility and potential make him a viable candidate. Salzburg values the Mali U20 international at approximately £7 million, and his contract extends until 2027.
Yeo’s development at Salzburg has been noteworthy. After making his senior debut in May 2024, he has become an integral part of the team, contributing significantly in domestic and European competitions.
His current trajectory suggests a promising future, and a move to the Premier League could provide a new platform for his talents.
