Manchester United have intensified their pursuit of Malian international El-Bilal Touré as the winter transfer window nears its closing stages, according to reports from France.
With just days remaining before the window shuts, the Premier League giants are pushing to secure the services of the 22-year-old forward, who is currently on loan at VfB Stuttgart.
Despite being sidelined with a metatarsal injury, Touré remains a key target for United as they seek reinforcements in attack.
According to Foot Mercato, the transfer involves a complex three-way deal.
Stuttgart are keen to activate their €18 million purchase option on the striker, who joined them on loan from Atalanta Bergamo last summer.
Once the Bundesliga side finalises the deal, they intend to sell him to Manchester United for €25 million, securing a €7 million profit in the process.
Touré, who has earned 21 caps and scored eight goals for Mali, moved to Atalanta from Spanish club Almería in the summer of 2023 for a fee of around €30 million.
However, his time in Italy was hampered by injuries, leading to his loan move to Stuttgart, where he has since made 13 appearances, scoring three goals and providing one assist.
Manchester United’s interest in the forward underscores their urgency in bolstering their attacking options before the deadline.
While Touré’s injury is a concern, the club appear confident in his long-term potential and are prepared to finalise the deal swiftly.
