Currently occupying the 6th position in the Premier League table, the Red Devils showcased their form by securing a victory against Nottingham Forest in the 5th round of the FA Cup.
André Onana, the Cameroonian shot-stopper, articulated the team’s collective ambition, emphasizing their determination to finish the season on a high note despite grappling with numerous injuries.
“We will try to finish as high as possible even if we have a lot of injuries. It’s not an excuse, but this season a lot of things happened, a lot of moments were difficult for us,” remarked Onana during the interview with Manchester United media.
Acknowledging the challenges faced, Onana, echoing the ethos of a Manchester United player, emphasized the collective responsibility to secure victories.
“But as a Manchester United player, you have to win, so we are all responsible for what happened. I take my responsibilities, as always. I know how good we are, I believe in my players, and I think everything will change,” he added.
The next significant test for the Red Devils is the second Manchester derby of the season against their direct rival at the Etihad Stadium, scheduled for next Sunday.
This high-stakes encounter will undoubtedly play a pivotal role in determining Manchester United’s trajectory as they strive to meet their season-end aspirations under the helm of Erik Ten Hag.
