Manchester United defender Harry Maguire is staunchly supporting Danish-Nigerian wing-back Patrick Dorgu following red card incident against Ipswich Town.
Dorgu, who joined the Red Devils in the January transfer window was handed a starting role when his side locked horns with Ipswich Town at the Old Trafford.
Unfortunately, the talented defender received the marching orders in the 43rd minute following a reckless foul against an opponent player, making him the second youngest player in Manchester United’s history to be sent off in a Premier League match after Luke Shaw.
Despite the red card incident, Manchester United managed to beat Ipswich Town 3-2 at their own backyard on Wednesday night.
“Playing even 11 against 11 in the Premier League is tough, but when you’re down to ten men, it becomes really hard.
Look, Patrick will learn from this. He’s been brilliant. He’s been a real bright spark in the last few games. Furthermore, he will learn from this, keep his head up. I’m sure he’ll come out again and become an important player for this club,” he said.
Dorgu will be hoping to bounce back stronger for the Premier League giants.
