Premier League giants Manchester United have reportedly reached an agreement on personal terms with Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen, according to multiple sources in Turkey.
Turkish journalists Serdar Ali Celikler (VOLE), Aygun Ozipek, and Ahmet Konanc claim that Osimhen has made up his mind to join United at Old Trafford this summer.
The deal is said to be a five-year contract, with the prolific forward set to earn a net salary of €15 million per season.
Osimhen had signed a lucrative contract extension with Napoli in December 2023, worth €10 million per year, with the intention of securing a move the following summer via his €120 million release clause.
However, with no club willing to meet that price, he was loaned to Turkish side Galatasaray in September 2024.
The move has paid off on the pitch, with Osimhen shining in Turkey, bagging an impressive 29 goals in 34 competitive matches. As a result, Napoli are now open to selling him at a reduced release clause of €80 million.
Interest in the 25-year-old remains high, with clubs like Juventus, Arsenal, Chelsea, and Paris Saint-Germain also monitoring his situation.
Despite United being frontrunners, reports indicate the Red Devils are preparing an offer of €60 million — a figure Napoli are expected to reject.
Adding urgency to the deal is a clause in Osimhen’s contract stating that if a transfer isn’t completed by the end of June 2025, his Napoli contract will automatically extend by another year.
