Manchester City sign Everton winger Eliman Ndiaye in £65m deal

Manchester City have announced the signing of Everton winger Eliman Ndiaye, with the Senegal international agreeing a five-season contract at the club.

The deal is understood to be worth £60m up front, with a further £5m available in add-ons. Ndiaye’s arrival is expected to be Manchester City’s penultimate signing of the summer transfer window.

The 24-year-old joined Everton in the summer of 2024 from French club Marseille and had a contract with the Toffees running until the summer of 2029. He made 74 appearances for Everton, scoring 17 goals and providing four assists.

Ndiaye now becomes the latest addition to a Manchester City squad that has already been strengthened by the arrivals of Ayoub Bouaddi, Elliot Anderson and Geronimo Rulli during the current transfer window.

Manchester City have also reached an agreement with Chelsea to sign Enzo Fernandez. That move is expected to be officially announced soon.

Ndiaye’s transfer brings an end to his spell at Everton after just over a season at the club. He joined from Marseille and went on to establish himself as an important attacking option, contributing 17 goals across his 74 appearances.

The Senegal winger will now join Manchester City as they continue their early-season campaign at the top of the Premier League. The club have won both of their opening matches, beating Bournemouth and Crystal Palace, and have six points from those two fixtures.

Everton began the season with a victory against Crystal Palace in the first round of matches before drawing with Bournemouth. They therefore remain unbeaten in their opening two games, although the club will now have to adjust to the departure of Ndiaye after his move to Manchester City was confirmed.

The transfer is the latest in a busy summer for Manchester City, who have added several players while also advancing their agreement for Fernandez. Ndiaye’s five-year commitment gives the club a long-term option on the wing, following his productive spell in the Premier League with Everton.

His record at Everton included 17 goals and four assists in 74 matches, while his previous experience at Marseille helped him arrive in England with established senior-level experience. He will now continue his career with Manchester City, who currently lead the Premier League standings with six points.
