Manchester City are reportedly looking to sign Paul Pogba in January, according to Fichajes.net.
Pep Guardiola’s side has faced a challenging season, struggling with a series of injuries to key players, prompting the need to bolster their squad.
The situation worsened following a 2-1 defeat to Manchester United on Sunday at the Etihad Stadium.
However, there are reports suggesting that Pogba, a former Manchester United midfielder is currently in talks to join Manchester City as a free agent in January.
The Guinean-born midfielder is without a club after his contract with Juventus was terminated due to a ban.
Pogba’s four-year doping ban was reduced to 18 months in October, making him eligible to return to playing by March 2025. This development led to his departure from Juventus in November, leaving him a free agent.
Guardiola has previously expressed admiration for Pogba, hinting that a move was discussed even during Pogba’s time at Manchester United.
The 2018 World Cup winner qualities fit well with Guardiola’s tactical style, making him a potentially valuable addition to the City squad.
