Manchester City remain interested in signing French forward of Algerian descent Rayan Cherki.
According to sources, the club is exploring a move to poach the forward from Olympique Lyon this summer.
However, the youngster fancies a move to the German Bundesliga club Borussia Dortmund over a switch to Manchester City.
Rayan Cherki, 22, confirmed at the end of the 2024/25 French Ligue 1 season that he will leave Olympique Lyon this summer.
He is parting ways with the French side after spending over a decade at the club to hone his talent.
In the 2024/25 season, Rayan Cherki scored eight goals and provided 11 assists after making 30 appearances in the French Ligue 1 campaign.
His outstanding performances increased his stock and have attracted interest from several top clubs in Europe.
Manchester must now find a way to convince the Borussia Dortmund target to choose a move to the Etihad this summer instead of moving to the Signal Iduna Park.
