Manchester City have commenced negotiations in their pursuit to sign French forward of Algerian descent Rayan Cherki.
The English Premier League outfit is keen on signing the youngster from Olympique Lyon as part of efforts to strengthen their squad for the 2025/26 football season and beyond.
Rayan Cherki, 21, has been one of the standout players for Lyon in the last couple of seasons.
In the 2024/25 football season, he scored 12 goals and provided 20 assists in all competitions, establishing himself as one of the highly-rated youngsters in Europe.
Before the end of the season, he confirmed that he will be leaving Olympique Lyon in the summer in search of a new challenge.
Today, Manchester City have started talks to sign Rayan Cherki and wants to get the deal over the line as soon as possible.
Cherki is also a transfer target of Borussia Dortmund, Manchester United, Liverpool, and Tottenham Hotspur.
