Manchester United and Manchester City are set to compete with Paris Saint-Germain in the pursuit of AS Monaco’s standout winger, Maghnes Akliouche.
Born in France to Algerian parents, Akliouche has chosen to represent France at the youth level.
The 23-year-old has enjoyed a breakout season with Monaco, netting six goals and providing ten assists across 39 appearances in all competitions.
Monaco has a gentleman’s agreement in place that would allow Akliouche to depart for the right price, believed to be around €80 million.
The player is reportedly eager to join a club competing for major trophies next season.
Manchester City appears to be showing the strongest interest, as they prepare to revamp their attacking options with the anticipated departure of Kevin De Bruyne and other veteran players.
Manchester United also maintains an interest in Akliouche, while PSG aims to continue its strategy of signing young, homegrown talents.
Akliouche’s performances have not gone unnoticed, and with several top clubs vying for his signature, a high-profile transfer could be on the horizon.
