South African outfit Mamelodi Sundowns have set a €1 million asking price for South African attacker Tembinkosi Lorch amid growing interest.
Lorch spent half of last season on loan at Moroccan club Wydad Casablanca, making 22 appearances, scoring 4 goals and providing an assist across competitions.
With his loan deal expiring next month, the attacker is expected to return to parent club Sundowns. He announced his presence at the FIFA Club World Cup in his sides’ second group game against Juventus, where the African club lost 4-1.
According to reports, Sundowns are open to sanctioning a move for the talented attacker, but only at an increased price.
Sundowns initial price tag for Lorch was €500,000, but it appears the South African giants has doubled the figure and are now asking €1 million for the attacker.
Wydad Casablanca is eager to sign the forward on a permanent as his loan deal expires at the end of July. However, they’ll have to dig deeper into their pockets. The loan deal did not include a buyout clause, meaning Mamelodi Sundowns retain full control over the player’s future.
Mamelodi Sundowns secured a draw in their final group-stage match at the Club World Cup, falling short of reaching the playoffs. Nevertheless, after just three matches, the club has already turned a significant profit.
