Mame Baba Thiam, after an impressive season with Kayserispor and Pendikspor, has caught the eye of several top-tier Turkish clubs despite Pendikspor’s relegation to the second division.

Thiam’s impact in the Turkish First Division Championship, known as the Süper Lig, remains significant.

Recruited by Kayserispor from Pendikspor for €1.7 million in January 2024, the 31-year-old Senegalese striker has demonstrated remarkable consistency and skill, making him a hot commodity among the elite teams of Turkish football.

Given Pendikspor’s relegation, retaining Thiam appears unlikely. The Turkish sports daily Fanatik reports that numerous clubs, including Göztepe, Konyaspor, Sivasspor, Çaykur Rizespor, and even the reigning Turkish champions Galatasaray, are keen to secure the services of the 2022 African champion.

Thiam’s prowess as one of the most formidable attackers in the Süper Lig has been evident since 2019.

As the top foreign scorer in Kayserispor’s history, he netted 31 goals and provided 10 assists in 76 matches.

This past season, he continued his exceptional form with 17 goals and 7 assists in 37 matches for both Kayserispor and Pendikspor.

Despite Pendikspor’s struggles leading to their demotion, Thiam’s individual performance shone through.

His ability to consistently find the back of the net and set up goals for his teammates underscores his value.

His contributions were a beacon of hope for both teams he played for during the season, further cementing his reputation as a reliable and talented forward.

Thiam’s potential move to another Süper Lig club seems imminent, given the interest from multiple teams.

His experience, coupled with his proven track record, makes him an attractive prospect for clubs aiming to bolster their attacking options.

Since joining the Süper Lig, Thiam has built a commendable career. His journey began with Kasimpasa, where his performances laid the foundation for subsequent success.

At Kayserispor, he became a crucial player, earning recognition as the top foreign scorer in the club’s history.

His move to Pendikspor further highlighted his versatility and goal-scoring ability, even in challenging circumstances.

As the transfer window progresses, Thiam’s future remains a topic of keen interest.

Clubs vying for his signature will undoubtedly see him as a valuable addition to their squads, capable of making an immediate impact.

Mame Baba Thiam’s potential departure from Pendikspor signifies a pivotal moment in his career.

With several prominent Turkish clubs expressing interest, the coming weeks will be crucial in determining where the Senegalese striker will continue his journey in the Süper Lig.

His consistent performance and goal-scoring prowess ensure that his next move will be closely watched by fans and analysts alike.
