Mamady Bangré seeks new sporting challenge amid uncertain future at Toulouse
Mamady Alex Bangré, a key player for the Burkina Faso national team, is actively pursuing a new opportunity as he looks to elevate his career. Despite a notable performance during his recent loan spell, the 23-year-old midfielder faces an uncertain future at his current club, Toulouse.
Bangré’s tenure with Quevilly Rouen during the 2022-2023 season was marked by a standout performance, where he netted 10 goals and provided 5 assists.
His exceptional contributions earned him the title of Best Player of the Team, highlighting his potential and skill.
However, upon returning to Toulouse, Bangré struggled for regular first-team opportunities under coach Carles Martinez Novell at the start of the 2023-2024 season.
After returning from the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) with Burkina Faso, Bangré was loaned out once more in January to Troyes.
During his time there, he registered 3 assists across 13 appearances, demonstrating his capability despite limited game time.
His performances in Troyes reaffirmed his potential, yet he returned to Toulouse with lingering questions about his role in the squad.
As the 2024-2025 season approaches, Bangré has rejoined Toulouse for pre-season preparations.
His recent display in a friendly match against Rodez was a testament to his abilities, as he scored the decisive goal in a 2-1 victory.
This performance may bolster his case for more significant involvement in the upcoming campaign.
Despite his contributions and potential, Bangré is exploring opportunities elsewhere. In an exclusive interview with Africa Top Sports, he expressed his readiness for a new challenge: “There have been interests and discussions with several clubs, but for the moment, nothing concrete.
We are waiting, hoping to find the best project to flourish.” His desire for a new project reflects his ambition to further his career and secure a role where he can fully showcase his talents.
Mamady Bangré remains under contract with Toulouse until June 2025, providing him with a stable position should he choose to stay.
However, with his evident skills and desire for growth, the possibility of a move to another club where he can play a more prominent role remains a significant consideration.
As Bangré navigates this transitional period, the focus will be on whether he can secure a new club that aligns with his career aspirations or if he will continue to seek opportunities at Toulouse.
His talent and previous performances suggest that a promising future awaits him, provided he finds the right environment to thrive.
