Mamadou Moustapha is knocking on the door of Senegal’s national team.
The Paris FC defender, steadily carving out a reputation in Ligue 2, dreams of donning the iconic yellow and green jersey of the Lions of Teranga. In a recent interview, Moustapha expressed his burning desire to join the senior national squad, appealing directly to the new coach, Pape Thiaw.
Having been a reliable figure in Paris FC’s defense for two seasons, the former Senegal U20 international has become known for his consistency, leadership, and solid performances. His rising profile fuels his dream of earning a place with the Lions. “I’m here, I work every day, and I think that one day I will make it to the national team,” Moustapha revealed.
After stints at Reims and RFC Seraing, Moustapha is aware of the challenge ahead but remains driven by his goal of playing in the next African Cup of Nations. “Why not both?” he adds, envisioning a future where he rises to Ligue 1 with Paris FC and represents Senegal at the AFCON.
