Mamadou Kone has completed a permanent move from SK Dynamo Ceske Budejovice to FC Sellier & Bellot Vlasim, signing a contract that runs from 2026-02-10 to 2026-06-30. The Malian centre-back joins Vlasim from their league rivals in the Czech second tier, the ChNL, in a deal officially recorded without a disclosed transfer fee.
The 28-year-old defender arrives with a current market value of €200k, according to the latest data, and remains registered primarily as a right-footed centre-back standing 1.90 metres tall. Kone switches clubs within the Czech Republic after just over a year on the books at Ceske Budejovice, who had brought him in from FC SILON Taborsko during the 24/25 season.
This latest move continues a steady, upward domestic trajectory in European football for the Bamako-born defender. Before joining Ceske Budejovice, Kone spent several seasons at Taborsko, where his market value climbed progressively, reflecting his growing importance. Starting at €75k in 2022, his valuation rose in stages to €250k by late 2024, underlining consistent performances in the Czech league. His subsequent spell at Ceske Budejovice saw that value level off and then nudge down to the current €200k mark across the 2025 calendar year.
Kone’s club career began in Mali with AS Onze Créateurs de Niaréla, following an earlier spell at an unknown domestic side. He then spent a period without a club before earning a move to France with Thonon Évian Grand Genève FC. That French stint marked his first step outside Mali, laying the foundation for his later transition to Central European football and, eventually, the ChNL in the Czech Republic.
From Thonon Évian, Kone joined Taborsko, where he established himself in the Czech game and attracted interest from within the league. His subsequent move to Ceske Budejovice kept him in the same national competition, ensuring continuity in level and environment while testing him at a different club structure. The transfer to Vlasim now extends that Czech chapter, with the defender remaining in the ChNL rather than returning to Mali or seeking a move to a different country.
Although Vlasim have not disclosed the financial details of the operation beyond the absence of a stated fee, the acquisition of a defender valued at €200k suggests the club view him as a significant addition to their back line. Kone’s combination of height, experience across multiple clubs and familiarity with the league is likely to be central to how Vlasim reshape their defensive unit.
Kone’s national status remains tied to Mali, but his professional future, at least until 2026-06-30, is firmly anchored in Czech football. With his contract securely in place and his move confirmed, the Malian centre-back now faces the task of consolidating his reputation in the ChNL and using this latest step at Vlasim as a platform for the next phase of his career, whether that leads to a longer stay in the Czech Republic or another move when his current deal comes to an end.
