Senegalese Forward Malick Mané Moves from Europe to Australia
Senegal international Malick Mané is set to leave Europe and continue his football career in Australia, joining the Central Coast Mariners.
The 25-year-old attacking midfielder, who had signed a four-year contract with Swedish club IFK Göteborg just six months ago, will now head to the A-League side as confirmed by sources including espoirsdufootball.com.
Mané’s journey in professional football began in Norway, after leaving his youth club Casa Sport in Ziguinchor, Senegal, in 2008. He spent three seasons at Sandefjord before moving to Sogndal for two years. In 2011, he had a brief stint with FC Aktobe in Kazakhstan before returning to Norway.
Having recently joined IFK Göteborg, Mané’s switch to the Central Coast Mariners marks a new chapter in his career as he ventures into Oceania football.
