Mali’s accomplished center forward, Zoumana Simpara, is on the brink of securing a move to Algerian Ligue 1 side Jeunesse Sportive de Kabylie. The 25-year-old striker, who recently returned to Mali after a two-season stint at SC Toulon, has reportedly reached an agreement to finalize his contract with the Algerian club in the coming days.
Zoumana Simpara, affiliated with Djoliba AC in Bamako, Mali, is poised to follow in the footsteps of compatriot Mamadou Traoré, also known as “Capi,” in joining JS Kabylie.
The influx of Malian talent into Algerian football has become a notable trend, with clubs like USM Alger and Entente Sportive Sétifienne making similar moves in recent times.
Having secured a deal with Mamadou Traoré, JS Kabylie is now set to welcome Zoumana Simpara, who boasts experience gained during his two-year tenure in France with SC Toulon.
The 25-year-old center forward is expected to arrive in Algeria next week along with Mamadou Traoré for medical examinations before officially committing to Jeunesse Sportive de Kabylie.
Currently occupying the 8th position in the Algerian Ligue 1 standings with 22 points, JS Kabylie aims to reinforce its squad with the addition of these talented Malian players.
Zoumana Simpara, known for his goal-scoring prowess, found the net six times in 20 appearances during his stint at SC Toulon in the French National 2 (D4).
It is worth noting that Zoumana Simpara also had a brief stint in the United States, showcasing his skills with New York Red Bulls II during the 2016/17 season.
The impending move to JS Kabylie marks a significant chapter in Simpara’s career as he seeks to contribute to the club’s ambitions in Algerian football.
