Saudi Pro League side Neom SC are closing in on a move for Malian-Ivorian midfielder Amadou Koné in the ongoing summer transfer window.
Neom SC, who recently secured promotion to the Saudi top-flight are keen on strengthening their squad in an attempt to make a meaningful impact next season.
However, the 20-year-old, who plies his trade for Stade de Reims has emerged as a priority target, with a move likely to happen.
Kone’s performance in the recently concluded season overshadowed Reim’s struggle last term, with the club suffering relegation at the end of the season.
The Ivory Coast youth international has attracted the interest of OGC Nice, whilst Leeds United, recently promoted to the Premier League, have also been in the race. However, it seems that Koné’s future will lie outside of Europe.
The midfielder is in advanced talks to sign for Neom SC. The value of the deal is estimated to be around €12m. The Saudi club are also on the verge of completing a deal for Alexandre Lacazette, whose deal at Olympique Lyonnais is on the verge of expiry.
