Tottenham midfielder Yves Bissouma is pushing for a move to Galatasaray, with negotiations between the two clubs underway over a potential loan deal.
The Mali international, who joined Spurs from Brighton for £25 million in 2022, has been absent from the squad this season and is keen on securing regular playing time elsewhere.
Bissouma, 28, has struggled to feature under manager Thomas Frank after sustaining an injury in training, missing Tottenham’s opening two Premier League fixtures.
With his contract expiring next summer, the midfielder has slipped out of Frank’s long-term plans, despite racking up 100 appearances for Spurs since arriving two years ago.
He also started in May’s Europa League final, where Tottenham beat Manchester United 1-0 to secure European silverware.
Discussions with Galatasaray mark a turning point for Bissouma, who sees the Turkish giants as an opportunity to revive his career at the top level.
Spurs, meanwhile, appear open to letting him leave on loan, which could ease the club’s wage bill while paving the way for a permanent departure in 2026 if he fails to extend his contract.
The midfielder’s exit would add to the club’s wider reshuffling, which also involves teenage defender Luka Vuskovic. The 18-year-old finally linked up with Tottenham this summer, two years after his transfer was agreed, but has yet to make a senior appearance.
He featured prominently in pre-season, scoring and assisting in the win over Reading, yet has not played a minute in competitive action.
Vuskovic is now expected to move to Hamburg on loan, a step that should guarantee consistent minutes and aid his development.
Spurs believe regular football in Germany will accelerate his readiness for the Premier League, while also providing Frank with a clearer picture of his long-term role.
Both exits underline Tottenham’s determination to streamline their squad before the transfer window closes.
