Premier League side Crystal Palace have officially extended the contract of Mali international midfielder Cheick Doucouré until June 30, 2029, AfricaSoccer.com can confirm

The 24-year-old joined the Premier League club in 2022 from French club RC Lens and quickly established himself as a vital presence in the Eagles’ midfield.

Doucouré’s stellar performances earned him a contract extension, and he expressed his delight, stating;

“I am really happy to commit my future to Crystal Palace.”

Despite his success, Doucouré has been sidelined due to a ruptured Achilles tendon, with his return to competition expected at the end of May 2024.

This injury also prevented him from participating in the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations in Cote d’Ivoire with the Mali national team.

Despite the setback, Doucouré remains optimistic about his future with Crystal Palace, emphasizing his eagerness to return to the pitch and play in front of the club’s passionate supporters.

As he continues his recovery, the midfielder looks forward to contributing to the success of the team, highlighting the camaraderie within the group.

His extension signals a long-term commitment to Crystal Palace, and fans eagerly anticipate his return to action in the coming months.
