Mali international Modibo Sagnan has emerged as a transfer target for English Championship club Leeds United ahead of the summer transfer window.
Sagnan joined Montpellier in the January transfer window for just over €3m from FC Utrecht and has since established himself as a key member of the team despite the club poor run.
Since joining the club, he has racked up 2 goals from 25 appearances for the embattled French Ligue 1 outfit.
Leeds United are bidding for promotion back to the Premier League and are determined to strengthen their squad for the new campaign,
However, the Yorskhire side have expressed a strong interest in the Mali international, whose contract with Montpellier runs until 2028.
Leeds United believes the tough-tackling defender can help strengthen their defense for the new season.
The 25-year-old has made four appearances for the Mali national team since marking his debut in March 2024.
