Malachy Clement switches Czech clubs in Sparta Kolin move

Nigeria winger Malachy Clement has swapped Fastav Vsetin for Sparta Kolin, completing a free transfer to the Czech club.

The 23-year-old, who was born in Abuja, operates primarily on the right wing. Clement’s move was registered on 28 August 2026, linking him with Sparta Kolin after two seasons at Fastav Vsetin.

Clement joined Fastav Vsetin from Trinec in July 2024, also moving without a transfer fee. His time at Vsetin followed a season with Trinec, where he arrived from Karvina B in July 2023.

The winger spent the 2022-23 campaign with Karvina B after progressing from Karvina’s under-19 side. During that season, he was part of the MFK Karvina set-up that won the Czech second-tier title.

His path through Czech football began with a move from FC TBC to Karvina’s under-19 team in May 2021. He subsequently moved into senior football with Karvina B before continuing his career at Trinec and Fastav Vsetin.

Clement joins Sparta Kolin as a player whose senior career has been built in the Czech game, despite representing Nigeria internationally by nationality. He is listed as a right winger, giving the club a specialist option in an attacking position.

Sparta Kolin compete in the Moravskoslezska fotbalova liga, while Clement’s previous club, Fastav Vsetin, had been playing in the same level of Czech football. The transfer therefore keeps the winger in the country’s domestic system as he begins the next stage of his career.

Clement had not yet made an appearance for Sparta Kolin in the opening fixtures of the 2026-27 campaign at the time of the move. His arrival was completed as a free transfer on 28 August 2026.
