Malachi Boateng joins Heart of Midlothian on three-year deal
Heart of Midlothian has bolstered its midfield by signing Ghanaian midfielder Malachi Boateng. The 22-year-old joins the Scottish Premiership side from Crystal Palace for an undisclosed fee, committing to a three-year contract.
Boateng, born in England to Ghanaian parents, brings valuable experience to the Jambos, having previously impressed during loan spells in Scotland.
His football journey began in the youth ranks of Crystal Palace, where he turned professional in 2019.
Boateng’s talent was quickly recognized as he earned U-18 and U-23 Player of the Year awards and became a standout player for the club’s Premier League 2 side during the 2020/21 and 2021/22 seasons.
In the 2022/23 season, Boateng was loaned to Queen’s Park in the Scottish Championship.
His impactful performances helped Queen’s Park secure a third-place finish, earning him a place in the PFA Scotland Championship Team of the Year.
Boateng’s form continued into the following season with Dundee, where he made 36 appearances and played a key role in their successful campaign.
