Jean-Marc Makusu Mundele, who showcased remarkable performances at the last CHAN (African Nations Championship), has attracted the attention of recruiters from Standard Liège. The Belgian club swiftly secured the signing of the Congolese striker during the recent winter transfer window.
Initially arriving on loan from Congo’s New Belor club in Kinshasa, Mundele was slated to spend the remainder of the season at Hungarian club Ujpest. However, the 21-year-old encountered obstacles due to lacking the necessary travel documentation.
Fortunately, Mundele has now obtained the required administrative documents, enabling him to make the journey. With his paperwork now in order, the Congo Leopards’ center forward, who has seen limited playing time with Standard Liège, is set to join Hungarian club Ujpest to further his development.
