Mahmoud Fathallah, the former general coach of Pyramids FC, unveiled the underlying reasons behind the club’s inability to clinch championships, following their African exit from the group stage.
Speaking on the “Al-Match” program hosted by Hani Hathout on “Sada Al-Balad” channel, Mahmoud Fathallah stated, “My role as a consultant at Pyramids FC was one of the reasons for my departure from the club.
I will not disclose the club’s secrets, but there are numerous mistakes that I cannot reveal.
However, I am prepared to present them to the board of directors. I anticipated Pacheco’s departure, but the timing of the decision was surprising.”
He continued, “Pyramids FC is not obligated to win titles and compete with prestigious clubs. It is labeled as a failure if it fails to secure championships.
However, what matters is establishing the club’s identity and building a strong team.”
Fathallah emphasized, “Within a few years, we managed to secure second place in the league.
Championships require more time, yet the team has progressed to tournaments such as the Confederation Cup.”
