Mahmoud Bentayg, Zamalek’s talented Moroccan left-back, couldn’t hide his joy after signing a new contract with the White Castle.
The decision, he said, came down to one simple factor that sealed the deal. Now, he’s eager to repay the faith shown in him by the club and its passionate supporters in the seasons ahead.
Bentayg opened up to the White Castle’s media center on Wednesday, sharing how straightforward the process was. “Negotiations with Zamalek did not take long and were easy, both with my agent and with Ahmed Hossam Mido, a member of the football sector planning committee,” he explained.
The defender didn’t hold back on his ambitions either, adding, “My goal and that of all the Zamalek players is to win all possible titles, to please the fans who have continuously supported us through thick and thin.”
He emphasized the club’s winning mentality, noting, “Zamalek is a great team that competes for all the tournaments it participates in.” Wrapping up, Bentayg expressed gratitude, saying, “I thank the Zamalek fans for their support and assistance in the past period, and I hope to live up to their expectations.”
