French giants Lyon have completed the permanent signing of highly-rated defender Noham Kamara from Paris Saint-Germain after activating the buy-out clause in his loan agreement.
Kamara, who has France and Senegal roots joined Lyon on loan during the winter transfer window and quickly did enough to convince the club’s hierarchy that he deserved a long-term future at the Groupama Stadium.
The 19-year-old has now put pen to paper on a contract that will keep him at Lyon until June 2030, underlining the club’s confidence in his potential.
Per transfer details, Lyon will pay PSG a fixed fee of €4.1 million for the defender, with a further €2 million in performance-related bonuses potentially payable in the future.

The transfer represents another important step in the young defender’s career as he looks to establish himself in France’s top flight. Lyon, meanwhile, continue their strategy of investing in promising young talent capable of becoming key figures for the club in the years ahead.
With his future now settled, Kamara will aim to build on his breakthrough season and fight for a more prominent role in Lyon’s first-team squad during the 2026/27 campaign.
