Al-Qadsiah bring in France-Mali forward Mahamadou Sangare from Manchester City

Mahamadou Sangare, the France-Mali centre-forward, has joined Saudi Pro League club Al-Qadsiah from Manchester City Under-21s.

The 19-year-old has signed a contract running until 30 June 2029 after completing the move on 6 September 2026. No transfer fee has been disclosed for the switch.

Sangare moves to Saudi Arabia after a season with Manchester City’s academy side, where he had been playing in Premier League 2 and the EFL Trophy. He joined City from Paris Saint-Germain Under-23s in July 2025 on a free transfer.

The forward came through the French youth system before making the move to Manchester. He represented Paris Saint-Germain Under-19s during the 2023-24 season and then stepped up to the club’s Under-23 side the following campaign.

Sangare enjoyed a prolific spell at youth level with PSG. He scored 23 goals in the 2023-24 National Under-19 Championship – Group A campaign and finished as the UEFA Youth League’s leading scorer in 2024-25 with eight goals.

He also won the French Under-19 championship twice with Paris Saint-Germain, lifting the trophy in both the 2023-24 and 2024-25 seasons.

Born in Dionkoulane on 6 March 2007, Sangare holds French and Malian nationality. The left-footed forward is listed at 1.77 metres and joins an Al-Qadsiah side competing in Saudi Arabia’s top flight.

His move represents another step in a career that has taken him from youth football in France to Manchester City’s development system and now to the Saudi Pro League. Sangare’s previous clubs also include Montrouge Under-17s and Racing CFF’s youth team.

Al-Qadsiah have secured Sangare’s arrival on a contract that keeps him at the club until June 2029.
