Luis Enrique praises Hugo Ekitike’s growth at PSG

Luis Enrique has looked back on Hugo Ekitike’s early spell at Paris Saint-Germain, highlighting how far the striker has come since those first steps in Paris.

The Spanish coach sees a very different player now, one who has matured on and off the pitch and earned his place on the international stage.

Speaking about the French forward, Enrique said, “He was very young when he was here. Now he is an international player and has improved a lot.” He pointed out that Ekitike needed time and experience to fully express his talent, and that his development since leaving PSG underlines his potential.

Enrique was careful, however, not to dwell on Ekitike’s current form at Liverpool.

“I usually don’t talk about players except those from PSG. But since leaving, he has done very well in Germany and at Liverpool. Right now, it’s not the time to talk about Liverpool players,” he added, keeping the focus on PSG while still acknowledging the striker’s impressive progress in other leagues.
