Lobi Stars have officially chosen Nnamdi Azikiwe Stadium in Enugu as their new home ground for the remainder of the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) season.
The club initially designated Lafia City Stadium as their temporary venue at the start of the campaign before shifting to Tafawa Balewa Stadium in Bauchi, where they played three matches.
However, following another request for relocation, the team has now settled in Enugu.
Final venue change under NPFL rules
According to NPFL regulations, clubs are only permitted a limited number of stadium relocations during the season.
With this latest move, Lobi Stars can no longer request another venue change unless they return to their traditional home, the Aper Aku Stadium in Makurdi.
The decision to shift bases multiple times reflects the club’s ongoing struggle to find a suitable venue.
However, with the team now stationed at Nnamdi Azikiwe Stadium, they will be looking to stabilize their campaign and improve their position in the league.
Crucial match against Ikorodu City
Lobi Stars will host Ikorodu City at their new Enugu home this weekend in a critical fixture as they battle to escape the relegation zone.
The team, led by head coach Mohammed Babaganaru, currently sits at the bottom of the NPFL standings with 23 points after 27 matches.
With the season progressing, the club will be hoping that the latest venue change provides the stability needed to turn their fortunes around.
The coming fixtures will be crucial in determining whether Lobi Stars can climb out of the relegation battle and secure their top-flight status.
