2026 World Cup Qualifiers: Hugo Broos names squad for Lesotho and Nigeria games
South African national team coach Hugo Broos has unveiled his final squad ahead of the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers against Lesotho and Nigeria.
Bafana Bafana will host both fixtures at Bloemfontein’s Free State Stadium, starting with Lesotho on 5 September, followed by a clash with Nigeria four days later.
Currently leading Group C with 13 points from six matches, South Africa could secure qualification during this international break.
They hold a five-point advantage over second-placed Rwanda and third-placed Benin, while Nigeria sits fourth with seven points.
Broos trimmed his preliminary squad earlier this week, revealing his final selections on Thursday ahead of the high-stakes matches.
