Liverpool put Michael Olise’s interest on hold

Liverpool have placed their interest in Bayern Munich forward Michael Olise on hold as the club continues its long-term search for a successor to Mohamed Salah.

The French winger of Nigerian descent has been in outstanding form for the German champions, making him one of the Premier League side’s preferred future options.

However, despite widespread reports linking Olise to Anfield, Sky indicates that Liverpool are not preparing an immediate bid and does not consider him an active transfer target at this time.

Several factors have contributed to the pause, including no release clause in Olise’s contract, Bayern Munich’s unwillingness to enter negotiations, and the player himself not pushing for a move.

With these obstacles in place, Liverpool are expected to revisit their interest later rather than pursue him aggressively now.

For the moment, the club’s attention has shifted to Bournemouth forward Antoine Semenyo, who is emerging as the more realistic short-term option in their rebuilding plans.
