Liverpool prepare fresh offer for Crystal Palace forward Ismaila Sarr
Liverpool are preparing a new proposal for Crystal Palace forward Ismaila Sarr, with negotiations between the two clubs understood to be at an advanced stage. The Senegal international has made it clear that he wants to move to Anfield, according to journalist Sacha Tavolieri.
The Reds are expected to submit their next offer within the next few hours as they attempt to reach an agreement with Crystal Palace before the transfer window closes. Liverpool’s aim is to put forward terms convincing enough to secure the Eagles’ approval quickly.
Sarr’s preference could prove significant as the discussions develop. The 27-year-old is reported to be pushing for a transfer to Liverpool, giving the Merseyside club encouragement as it works to complete a deal for the forward.
Interest from Al-Ittihad, who had also been considering a move for Sarr, has now been dropped. The Saudi Arabian club is no longer in a position to complete the proposed transfer, leaving Liverpool as the leading option described in the report.
Sarr remains under contract at Crystal Palace until 30 June 2029. His current estimated market value is €45m, according to Transfermarkt, meaning Liverpool are likely to need a substantial offer if they are to persuade Palace to sell so close to the end of the window.
The Senegal player is reported to earn €4,348,684 per year, equivalent to 2,826,644,600 FCFA. Liverpool will hope its next bid is enough to bring the negotiations to a conclusion and secure Sarr’s services before the deadline.
The timing of the talks comes as Crystal Palace prepare for their third match of the English championship campaign, against Fulham. Sarr’s possible departure therefore remains a significant point of attention around the Eagles as they approach that fixture.
Betting company 1xBet has listed Crystal Palace at odds of 3.00 to win the match, with a draw priced at 3.30 and Fulham offered at 2.20. Those prices reflect the betting market’s assessment of the contest, while discussions over Sarr’s future continue away from the pitch.
For now, Liverpool’s next proposal is expected to determine whether the deal can move into its final stages. Crystal Palace are weighing an offer for a player tied to the club for four more seasons, while Sarr’s stated desire to join Liverpool could influence the outcome as the transfer window reaches its closing phase.
