Former England international Jamie Carragher is undoubtedly confident that Egyptian star Mohammed Salah will stay at the club.
Salah’s contract with the Anfield club expires at the end of June and whether the veteran attacker stays or completes a lucrative move to the Saudi Pro League continues to hang in the balance.
The pacey winger was once again instrumental when the Reds defeated Newcastle United 2-0 to go 13 points clear at the top of the Premier League table.
Despite speculations about his future, Carragher insists Salah will stay at Anfield.
“Liverpool always look closely at what players are worth. They could probably afford all three. But the club doesn’t see the value in the next two to five years. I trust the club management on that.
“Over the past ten years, they have been right more often than wrong. But if all three were to leave the club, the management would have to face tough questions.
“Then Liverpool would not be in a good position for next season. The pressure on their successors would be huge. I think Salah and van Dijk will stay; Alexander-Arnold will go.” He told Bild.
Salah has been in phenomenal form, scoring 25 goals and providing 16 assists in 27 Premier League matches this season.
