English outfit Liverpool are leading the race to sign France-born midfielder of Algerian descent Maghnes Akliouche.
The youngster is one of many AS Monaco players linked with a departure this summer following the conclusion of the 2024/25 French Ligue 1 season.
Despite interest from Tottenham Hotspur and Nottingham Forest, sources have revealed that Liverpool are the favourites to sign Maghnes Akliouche.
Sources also indicate that AS Monaco are willing to sell Maghnes Akliouche and will demand fee of €70 million.
However, speaking in an interview last week, the midfielder noted that he will be happy to continue with AS Monaco next season.
“I am under contract at Monaco and I hope that I will be here next season, why not?” he said in a mixed zone interview after AS Monaco defeated Olympique Lyonnais.
With the season coming to an end, interested clubs must convince Maghnes Akliouche if they want to sign him.
The midfielder is expected to have a meeting with his representatives to assess his options to determine the best move for his future.
